A followup from Epworth UMC's Fall Festival

Greetings, friends!

This is Pastor Kerry, from Epworth United Methodist Church in Ripley.

I'm "dusting off my blog" as a way of reaching out to the folks who came to Epworth's Fall Festival. I just wanted to thank you for coming to our 10/27 Fall Festival. We had a great time putting the event together, and I hope you enjoyed your time with us.

I’d like to invite you to join us on Sunday morning for our weekly worship service at 11am. This Sunday 11/3 we will celebrate Holy Communion (also called Eucharist or the Lord’s Supper). The Communion part of the service begins with this invitation: “Christ our Lord invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another.” Communion is a special time when we remember the grace of God and how much we are loved by Jesus, and all are welcome to participate.

Also this Sunday we have special music from our handbell choir, which is always fun.

We have Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:45am, come and see!

WELCOME TO OUR CH _ _ CH! (did you notice what’s missing? U R)

Epworth would be happy to be your church home, and I’d be happy to address any questions you have about church, The United Methodist Church, or religion in general.

My signature line is “I love you and there is nothing you can do about it!” Some people wonder How can you love me, you don’t even know me? but I figure if people can hate people they don’t even know, then surely I can love people I don’t know.

Anyhow, we’re glad you joined us for our Fall Festival, and we hope to see you again!
